The founder member of Worku Bikila Ltd., Worku Bikila, up until recent years was a major part in the Ethiopian Olympic track & Field team as a long distance runner, later specialising in the half-marathon and full-marathon.

Worku still trains with Ethiopia's Elite running team, the Omedla running club, boasting world renowned runners like Gabre Heili Selasi, Berhane Adere etc.

Worku has taken his spirit of determination and applied this to the business of water well exploration and drilling services, endeavouring to further the development of rural Ethiopia.
